Madhuram Sharan Shiva, leader of the armed monks’ group Shiv Shakti Akhada, urged Hindu youth to arm themselves with weapons similar to those used by non-Hindus, stating that traditional trishuls and swords are insufficient. He criticized Hindus for doing business with non-Hindus and renting shops to them, encouraging them to buy weapons instead of offering free food during Pujas and to use everyday utensils and tools as weapons.
