During a “Shaurya Sabha” by VHP-Bajrang Dal, Bajrang Dal leader Dharmendra Singh became visibly agitated when the azaan began at a nearby mosque. He lashed out at the police, demanding they immediately stop the mosque’s loudspeaker, and threatened protests if it is not stopped. Another speaker at the event propagated the “love jihad” conspiracy theory and claimed that if “Hindutva” were to lose power, Hindus would no longer be allowed to wear the teeka in the future.
