At a public event organized by a coalition of far-right groups, BJP MLA and Cabinet Minister delivered an anti-Muslim hate speech, spreading the conspiracies of ‘land jihad’ and ‘love jihad,’ and falsely claiming that Muslims aim to turn India into an Islamic state. He urged Hindus to rent houses only to other Hindus, warning that “it starts with one Aslam, and then you have a hundred Aslams.”
Targeting azaan, he claimed that if Hindus rented to Muslims, “in no time, they will be there in hordes, and next thing you know, the azaan is blaring five times a day.” He openly encouraged housing discrimination, telling the audience: “Just declare that you don’t rent to non-Hindus.”Later, he continued pushing the conspiracy of ‘love jihad,’ reinforcing baseless claims of a targeted demographic threat.
