At a Hindu Dharma Sammelan, BJP MLA Shuvendu Adhikari fearmongered about the Muslim population in his speech. He accused Mamata Banerjee of being a “fake Hindu” who is endangering Hindus. He also alleged that Bangladeshis had set up madrasas in Murshidabad and voted for TMC. He claimed he would not receive a single Muslim vote, asserting that they were determined to defeat the BJP because it is a Hindu party.
