At the Shiv Jayanti Celebration, organized by Sri Ram Sena, far-right preacher Kalicharan Maharaj repeatedly vilified Christianity and Islam, making multiple false claims to demonize both religions.
He fearmongered about Islam, portraying it as a threat to India and the world, and amplified the ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ and ‘Sharia law’ conspiracy theories. He claimed that Muslims aim to turn India into an Islamic country while Christians seek to make it a Christian nation. He further alleged that all communal riots are instigated by Muslims, stoking fears of ‘Islamization.’
Inciting violence, Kalicharan urged the audience to take up weapons, citing Hindu gods as warriors. He declared, “Those weapons are not for chopping wood, they are for chopping necks.”
He labeled all Muslims as traitors and dehumanized them as “mad dogs who only care about seventy-two virgins.” He also used the term “Mini-Pakistan” to demean Muslim-majority areas.
