Hindu nationalists vandalised and partially demolished a building used as a prayer hall by the Christian community. Local residents have alleged that the attack was carried out by members of the BJP and Bajrang Dal, led by BJP councillor Khagpati Soni. Earlier in the day, railway officials had declared the additional construction in the building illegal.
