BJP MLA Ravinder Negi led a demolition drive targeting a Bengali-speaking Muslim settlement, alleging that the previous MLA had illegally resettled them on government land. Referring to an earlier video of himself, he claimed that he was fulfilling his promise to evict “Abdul” from the alleged encroached area.
