The Forest Department demolished the 700-year-old Lakkad Shah Mazar at night, along with three other mazars located within the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. On June 5, a notice was issued to the mazar committee, alleging illegal encroachment due to the lack of proper ownership documentation.
