In UP’s Kasganj district, a Muslim youngster, Hasnain was attacked and brutally assaulted by a mob of members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Sunday. Following the horrifying incident, the Muslim community members feared for their safety in the district.
The victim, Hasnain is a resident of Chamunda Gate. The Hindutva extremist groups accused him of carrying banned meat near a village named Mallah Nagar. Although no official confirmation was done, the mob found him, attacked and brutally beat him on a street.
The locals and eyewitnesses of the attack confirmed that no official confirmation was done by police or anyone else. The mob attacked him while raising religious slogans and verbally abused him too.

The disturbing video of the attack that is now viral shows several men pouncing on Hasnain, kicking and punching him while he lays there helpless.
After some time, the police reached the spot after receiving information and rescued him. However, surprisingly enough, despite being a victim of brutal assault, Hasnain was taken by the police for interrogation and was briefly held.
The meat found with him has been sent to a laboratory for examination.
