At a Sakal Hindu Samaj support meeting for NCP MLA Sangram Jagtap, Shri Ram Sangh president Sagaar Baig used slurs like “landiya,” “jihadi,” and “mulla” to describe Muslims. He portrayed them as sexually immoral and said, “Muslim women aren’t safe at home—how will they feel empathy for our mother cow or us?” He spread the conspiracy of ‘love jihad’ and called Abu Azmi a “landa.” He also declared, “The day the Hindu picks up the mace, even Aurangzeb will rise from his grave to chant Jai Shri Ram.”
Far-right leader Sangram Bapu Bhandare Patil promised an Ayodhya-like movement for every Muslim religious site, claiming, “Even if it goes to court, it’s guaranteed Bhagwa will fly.”
He spread conspiracies of ‘love jihad’, ‘land jihad’, and ‘vote jihad’, and incited violence with the slogan: “Uthao daande, bhagao lande” (Pick up sticks and drive those ‘landas’—a slur for Muslims—away).
BJP leader Sujay Vikhe Patil echoed the conspiracy of ‘vote jihad’, suggesting Muslims were using democratic participation as a weapon.
