In Ahilyanagar, Sakal Hindu Samaj event spreads ‘love jihad’ and calls for boycotts

Location: Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra

At a Raksha Bandhan event organised by the Sakal Hindu Samaj, a leader of the Kinnar Akhada, activist Mrunal Tai, NCP MLA Sangram Jagtap, and Sagar Baig, president of Shri Ram Sangh, repeatedly spread the “love jihad” conspiracy. Speakers claimed Muslims target Hindu women, demanded an “anti-love jihad” law, called for economic and social boycott of Muslims, alleged Muslim fruit sellers lace produce with impotence-inducing substances, and urged women to avoid Muslim midwives. Baig also demonised Muslims in public service and claimed the targeting of Hindu women was funded from abroad.
