Lallan Kumar, a coaching teacher, led a procession with his 8–10-year-old students, handing them posters that branded Muslims and Sikhs as terrorists, told them to leave India, and called for burying anyone who invoked Allah’s name in the country. Locals caught him and tied him to a pole and assaulted him, while his father alleged he had long-standing mental health problems.
