Location: Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh

At the 4th death anniversary of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh and the “Hindu Gaurav Diwas” celebrations, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya invoked the renaming of various cities and speculated on changing Aligarh to “Harigarh.” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath branded the Babri Masjid as a “Gulami ka Dhacha” (structure of slavery) and boasted of its demolition. He also alleged that the opposition was settling Rohingya, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani “ghuspaithiya” (infiltrators). BJP leader Uma Bharti called for erasing what she referred to as the “memories of slavery.”
