BJP leader and Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, in a hate speech, alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi were conspiring to turn Telangana into a Muslim state, warning Hindus to be vigilant about Owaisi’s alleged dream of transforming India into a Muslim country by 2047.
During a campaign in Borabanda on Thursday, Sanjay, accompanied by BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao, canvassed for the party’s Jubilee Hills bypoll candidate, Lankala Deepak Reddy.
Targeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Congress leaders for wearing skullcaps during the bypoll campaign, Sanjay challenged the CM to make Asaduddin Owaisi offer prayers at the Bhagya Lakshmi Temple.
Addressing a public meeting, Sanjay stirred controversy by referring to Congress candidate Naveen Yadav as “Naveen Khan” and BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha as “Sunitha Begum.”
He warned that if these candidates won, “all the community halls would turn into Masjids” and “blood would flow on the streets,” adding that festivals like Vinayaka Chaviti and Dasara would no longer be celebrated.
Urging Hindu voters to consolidate behind the BJP, Sanjay accused former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) of “harassing people for ten years” and said the BRS should be “confined to the farmhouse.”
Sanjay further alleged that during the BRS regime, people in Borabanda paid “OK tax,” referring to Owaisi and K. T. Rama Rao, and claimed that if Congress came to power, it would become “ORE tax”, Owaisi and Revanth Reddy.
