Hindutva activists protest against converting house into church (The Hindu)

By The Hindu Bureau

Members of some Hindutva organisations held a protest in front of the Gram Panchayat office in Kangrali B.K. village in Belagavi district, accusing the members and officers of helping a family turn their house into a church.

They alleged that the owners of the house had obtained a building permit saying it was a residential unit, but they had turned it into a church. They suspected that they were engaged in illegal conversions. They submitted a letter to the Gram Panchayat to cancel the permit.

Leaders Shivaji Patil, Dhanaji Jadhav, Ram Bhau and others were present.
