On Day 4 of the Sanatan Ekta Padyatra, Dhirendra Shastri (Bageshwar Dham Sarkar) urged Hindus to unite, asking whether they wanted India to become enslaved and warning against children adopting other faiths. He questioned, “Do you want your children to wear caps or go to church on Sundays?” and asked, “If topiwallas can unite, why can’t those with tilaks?” He reiterated his demand for a “Hindu Rashtra.” Shastri engaged in fearmongering about a demographic and cultural threat, invoking Bangladesh. He also cited Israel, France, and England as inspirations, and claimed that Hindus would remember him when their daughters fall prey to “love jihad” and their sons begin going to mosques on Fridays.
