In Kalsi, Rudrasena Leader Threatens Mobilisation Against Van Gujjar Settlements

Location: Kalsi, Dehradun, Uttarakhand

During the Area Panchayat Meeting Kalsi–2025, Rakesh “Uttarakhandi” Tomar, founder of Rudrasena, accused the Forest Department of allowing Muslim Van Gujjar communities to settle on reserve forest land. He alleged that the department had facilitated permanent settlements in the forest and warned that if the alleged encroachment was not removed within seven days, there would be a larger mobilisation in response. He further stated that if action was not taken, members of local tribal communities would begin setting up their own camps inside the forest as a form of protest.
