After the video of assault on Muslim youth during a birthday party by Bajrang Dal members over allegations of “love jihad” went viral online, a shocking video of the main accused has come to light.
In the video, recorded by ex-Bajrang Dal member, the main accused can be heard clearly refusing to comply with police orders and dares the police.
Thakur who claims to be a protector of Hindutva says, “If the police believe that they can interfere with us, they are mistaken those who tried earlier were wiped out.”
Thakur further tried to suggest that the incident was wrongly claimed to be a communal one and added that the birthday girl had invited the Muslim youth to the party, who then invited five of his Muslim friends while six Hindu girls were also invited.
The assault that happened at a cafe in Rajendra Nagar has drawn criticism from various sections of society with calls for investigation and action against the accused.
The claims Thakur made have been rejected by many local community leaders and rights groups. They asserted that the attack was deliberate and was aimed at an innocent Muslim youth.
While many others expressed shock and anger after the video of the accused went viral. They said that it is very shocking to watch the video of an accused in assualt openly trying to intimidate police.
