In a shocking incident in Jhagarua village under Jamalpur Police Station limits in Darbhanga district, Bihar, a 65-year-old man named Abdul Salam was allegedly beaten to death with an iron rod.
The violence stemmed from a heated argument over the alleged theft of bricks belonging to local resident Manish Kumar Ram.
Reports indicate that during the dispute, Manish Kumar Ram’s mother, Vimla Devi, allegedly hurled abusive language and made communal remarks. Abdul Salam, who happened to be passing by, objected to the offensive and communally charged comments.
This objection reportedly provoked a brutal attack. Manish Kumar Ram, his brother Roshan Kumar Ram, their mother Vimla Devi, and possibly others assaulted Abdul Salam with an iron rod, inflicting severe head injuries. He collapsed immediately at the scene.
Local villagers quickly rushed the injured man to the nearby Kiratpur Community Health Center for medical attention. However, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival due to the extent of his injuries.
