Mahant Surajdas, speaking at a Hindu Sammelan held to mark the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), criticised Hindus for living in harmony and “eating from the same plate” with those wearing “skull caps and long beards,” whom he accused of vandalising temples and slaughtering cows. He also alleged that the Hindu population was declining and fearmongered about it.
