Members of the Hindu Raksha Dal, led by lawyer and National Coordinator Sanket Katara, staged a protest demanding the demolition of a mazar under the Hindon bridge, alleging it was an illegal encroachment. They raised banners reading “Stop Land Jihad” and sought official documents related to the structure. The protest followed a video circulated on February 14 in which a man claimed the mazar was being used to spread terrorism. While locals said the shrine predates the bridge, Hindu Raksha Dal member Prince Thakur asserted the land belonged to the municipal corporation, used derogatory language, and damaged a shelf outside the structure, alleging it enabled assaults on women and terrorism.
