Made friendship by changing name, established relations by giving false promise of marriage
According to the FIR registered at the women’s police station, a student of a private university has alleged that she met a young man in 2023, who introduced himself as “Ashish Pandey”. After friendship, the accused gave false promise of marriage and had physical relations with the student several times.
The student alleges that later she came to know that the young man’s real name is Asif Raza. When she talked about marriage, the accused refused.
Attitude changed after becoming pregnant, allegations of threats
According to the victim, in January 2026 when she informed about being pregnant, the accused reached her house with two of his companions. Here, while clearly refusing marriage, he gave her death threats, acid attack threats and other serious threats. The FIR also mentions that the accused pressured her for religious conversion, which the student rejected. After this, she continued to receive threats.
