Members of the Rashtriya Hanuman Dal visited meat shops and threatened vendors to shut their stores for nine days during the Hindu festival of Navaratri. They also harassed a Muslim vendor operating a shop named “Garhwal Paneer.” The group initially demanded that he display his name, and when he pointed out that it was already mentioned on the signboard, they warned him to remove the word “Garhwal.”
