Imam Forced to Chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’; Accused Apologises After FIR in Jalgaon.

By Muslim Mirror Desk

In a disturbing incident from Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district, a Muslim imam was allegedly surrounded and coerced by a group of men into chanting “Jai Shri Ram.” The event has sparked outrage and led to police intervention following complaints by AIMIM leaders.

Hafiz Qasam, a resident of Marul village in Yawal taluka, had gone to nearby Parola village to lead prayers. On his way back, he was reportedly intercepted by four or five individuals who forced him to raise the religious slogans. The group filmed it and widely circulated the video on social media platforms.

AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan strongly condemned the incident and raised the matter with senior police officials, pressing for immediate action. Following their intervention, an FIR has been registered against the alleged perpetrators.

A subsequent video emerged showing one of the accused apologising for hurting Muslim sentiments, apparently released amid public backlash and the ongoing police case.
