Suvendu Adhikari, BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition, speaking at an election campaign rally, claimed that Mamata Banerjee enables a “particular community” to vandalise, threaten, and attack Hindus under the pretext of “regular Friday occurrences.” He stated that the BJP would grant citizenship to Bangladeshi Hindus while ensuring that “Bangladeshi Muslim illegal immigrants” are deported. He further declared that madrasas and jamaats allegedly involved in “love jihad” and “land jihad” would not be tolerated under BJP governance.
