Maganu Singh, accused in the abuse and mob assault that led to the death of a Muslim woman, Roshan Khatoon, in February, was welcomed by villagers with garlands and firecrackers after being granted bail. He was the only person arrested among the 19 individuals named in the FIR. Following his release, he visited the residence of JD(U) MLA Sheela Mandal to seek the blessings of her husband and JD(U) State Executive Member Shailendra Mandal.
