During a VHP–Bajrang Dal meeting, leader Surendar Keer used slurs such as “katmulla” for Muslims, promoted the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” and urged Hindus to prepare to use force “for the protection of Hindu society” if necessary. He justified the use of weapons by invoking Hindu deities carrying swords, claiming that “whenever the sword has been raised, it has been for the protection of Hindu society.” He claimed Bajrang Dal members are labelled “goons,” but asserted that people seek their help when “Muslim kathmulla threaten women.” Warning Hindus not to rely on the administration or police, he claimed that if “kathmullas” came to power, Hindus would have to defend themselves. He fearmongered over Muslim population and claimed that if Muslims become “50%,” Hindus would be forced to flee their homes and localities. He claimed that even if Hindus avoid being “cut down,” future generations would be forced to undergo circumcision. He also alleged that Muslims are running an organised international campaign to target Hindu women through “love jihad” in order to increase the Muslim population and raise children “against Hindus.” He concluded by urging the establishment of Hanuman Chalisa centres and declaring that “India belongs to Hindus.”
