At a Jal Jeevan Mission Yojana programme, BJP leader Dharmraj Verma claimed that Domariyaganj was once known as “mini Pakistan” and alleged that Muslims from nearby towns gathered during Barafat to intimidate Hindus and harass Hindu women. He praised former MLA Raghvendra Pratap Singh, claiming that the area, once a “hub of terrorism,” had been transformed under his leadership. He criticised the previous government as a “Tuglaqi sarkaar” for allegedly allowing slaughterhouses to operate and accused political opponents of attempting to “crush Hindutva” ahead of the 2027 elections through caste-based mobilisation. He further claimed that regions such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and parts of West Bengal had declined in development, employment, education, and healthcare wherever “Hindutva ideology” weakened. Referring to West Bengal, he alleged that people once feared raising slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and claimed that weakening Hindutva had led to migration and underdevelopment.
