BJP leader Kamru Ajnar, speaking at a Bhagawat Katha event, delivered an anti-Christian speech and mocked the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. He alleged that many Adivasis no longer participate in Hindu religious events due to religious conversions, mocking Christian worship practices and terming them “fake English.” He further fearmongered over the political representation of Christians, claiming that along with Muslims, they would eventually overpower Hindus. He called for a social and economic boycott of Christians, alleging that they benefit from India’s resources while behaving like “foreigners.” He also promoted an upcoming march to Delhi demanding the delisting of Christian Adivasis, and asserted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, every form of political representation of Christian Adivasis would be ended. Referring to an incident in which cattle remains were discovered in Sajeli village, he claimed that if it had happened in his area, he would have buried alive those he alleged were responsible using his personal JCBs. He further asserted that no cow should be slaughtered in the region, and urged attendees that it was time to chase and kill those involved in cow slaughter.
