In Uttarakhand, CM Dhami Promotes Anti-Conversion Measures and ‘Jihad’ Conspiracies

Location: Nanakmatta, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand

During a programme marking Maharana Pratap’s birth anniversary, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the implementation of strict anti-conversion laws, invoking Birsa Munda and Maharana Pratap’s resistance to religious conversion as inspiration. Warning “adharmis” against engaging in “adharm” and “deception,” he said such people belong “behind bars, not in Devbhoomi.” He also promoted the anti-Muslim conspiracy theories of “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and “thook jihad,” claiming strict action had been taken against what he described as a “corrupt” and “mullah-driven mentality.”
