Members of VHP–Bajrang Dal staged a protest against “love jihad” and “land jihad,” during which a speaker used the dehumanising slur “jihadi keede” (“jihadi insects”) for Muslims. He claimed that “jihadi” elements were destroying “Sanatan” and altering the state’s “original composition,” warning that Hindus would no longer remain peaceful, and declared that Bajrang Dal would “crush Islamic jihad.” He fearmongered over alleged demographic change, accused the administration of silent support, and claimed that villages once dominated by Hindus were becoming “Hindu-free” due to the organised settlement of Muslims, whom he accused of intimidating and displacing poor Hindus through force and deception. Participants raised slogans including “Islamic jihad murdabad” (Down with Islamic jihad), “love jihad won’t be tolerated,” and “land jihad won’t be tolerated.” During the protest, a participant harassed a woman and forced her to join the demonstration.
