At a Virat Hindu Sammelan organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj, Kranti Petkar, spokesperson of the Ranragini wing of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, spread conspiracies including “sex jihad,” “film jihad,” “spit jihad,” and “love jihad” and falsely claimed Muslim men are funded to entrap Hindu women and have Muslim children with them; Pandit Dada Modak spread the conspiracy of “love jihad” and used the anti-Muslim slur “lande”; and Mahesh Landge, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA, urged Hindus not to let Muslims live in “Hindu villages” and spread the conspiracy of “land jihad”.
