VHP-Bajrang Dal leader Vikas Verma, speaking at a weekly Hanuman Chalisa event, peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad,” and termed Hindus opposing the Bajrang Dal as part of an organised lobby to discredit them. He cited the recent showroom incident, in which Bajrang Dal members wrote “jihadi” on the name tags of Muslim employees. He alleged that Muslims indulge in two different forms of “jihad,” calling them violent and accusing them of involvement in bomb blasts and wars. He also fearmongered over what he termed a declining Hindu population, accused the administration of inaction, and described the situation as a “final struggle.”
