The Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) on Monday said it has secured relief from the Allahabad High Court, which directed the removal of the seal placed on a madrasa in Khoda, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
According to APCR, the madrasa had been sealed by the Ghaziabad district administration in June 2026 during an enforcement drive. Authorities had allegedly claimed that the institution was operating without registration.
APCR Challenged Sealing Before High Court
APCR said it believed the madrasa had been legally established and that the sealing action was “whimsical and illegal.” The organisation extended legal assistance to the madrasa and filed a petition before the Allahabad High Court challenging the district administration’s order.
Advocate Khalid, appearing on behalf of APCR, represented the matter before the High Court and obtained an order directing the authorities to remove the seal from the madrasa.
APCR Welcomes Court’s Order
Welcoming the High Court’s decision, APCR said the order reaffirmed the importance of due process, fairness and the rule of law guaranteed under the Constitution.
