During a Mahapanchayat organised by Hindu Raksha Dal following a case of s*xual assault involving a minor, the speakers used the incident to broadly target the Muslim community after the accused was apprehended in a police encounter. The speakers referred to Muslims derogatorily as “jihadi,” “mulla,” “pigs,” and “dogs.” Hindu Raksha Dal leader Amit Prajapati called for Hindus to arm themselves and declared that they would not wait for law enforcement but would take action on their own. He also peddled the conspiracy theory of “love jihad” and urged attendees to identify the Muslims, whom he referred to as “jihadi dogs,” living near them, check their documents, and drive them out. Another speaker claimed that Muslims are always preying on Hindu girls and called for them to be kicked out. Another speaker accused Muslims of targeting Hindus and killing them and their women, terming it an intentional and planned attack. Another speaker asked Hindu women to monitor their daughters to see if they are in contact with any “jihadi” in schools or neighbourhoods, claiming that their primary aim is to isolate Hindu girls from their families and harm them.
