Far-right monk Mahant Guru Bakshdas, leader of the Rashtriya Vishva Hindu Parishad Bharat, delivered an anti-Muslim speech, derogatorily referring to Muslims as “mullas” and “topiwale.” He urged Hindus to economically boycott Muslims, alleging that money spent at Muslim-owned businesses funds mosques and madrasas, which he claimed are used to store weapons and train people. Calling on Hindus to become “kattar” (staunch), he urged them to arm themselves, stating that they should carry a ‘mala’ (prayer beads) in one hand and a ‘bhala’ (spear) in the other. He further alleged that Muslims forcibly convert people at gunpoint and, citing an alleged case involving the s*xual harassment of a minor, warned that “if they trouble us, we won’t spare them.”
