Far-right Hindu nationalists publicly humiliated the family of a Muslim man and took them to a police station following an interfaith marriage involving a Hindu woman. Although the couple had reportedly married and were missing, the activists and the woman’s family alleged that the Muslim man’s family was part of a conspiracy and accused them of possessing fake documents and living in illegal housing before handing them over to the police.
