A group of Hindu nationalist supporters stopped two Muslim youths travelling on a motorcycle, brutally assaulted and thrashed them for refusing to chant the religious slogan “Jai Shri Ram.” The assailants reportedly told the victims that anyone wishing to live in India must say “Jai Shri Ram.” They also allegedly robbed the victims of ₹25,000 and a drilling machine. The incident reportedly occurred 2–3 days earlier, and the victims filed a complaint on June 11, following which police arrested two individuals and launched an investigation.
