In Dehradun, CM Dhami Promotes “Land Jihad” Conspiracy and Targets Madrasas

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand

At the “Sanwadi” programme organised by Dainik Jagran, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “land jihad,” describing it as a “coordinated conspiracy” to illegally encroach on government land. He accused the opposition of appeasement and vote-bank politics and defended the Uniform Civil Code, claiming it would free women from practices such as polygamy, “halala,” “iddat,” and “triple talaq.” He also highlighted the closure of over 250 allegedly “illegal” madrasas and the dissolution of the Madrasa Board, accusing such institutions of promoting a “500-year-old tribal and radical mindset,” and asserted that Uttarakhand would serve as a model for others to follow.
