In Dehradun, VHP-Bajrang Dal Leader Claims Spending in Kashmir Funds Terrorism

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand

At a weekly Hanuman Chalisa event, VHP-Bajrang Dal leader Vikas Verma claimed that donations made to temples are used by Christian missionaries to fund mass religious conversions. He further claimed that no terrorist comes from outside Kashmir and that all terrorists are locals. He alleged that money spent on pony rides during the Amarnath Yatra or on purchasing any item in Kashmir ultimately funds terrorism, claiming that all Kashmiris share the same mindset. He also claimed that Kashmiris continue to support Pakistan and alleged that they are the same people who, in the 1990s, used mosque announcements to demand that Hindus leave the Kashmir Valley while leaving their women behind.
