At an AHP-Rashtriya Bajrang Dal Sthapna Diwas event, leader Munish Bhardwaj highlighted the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Referring to the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam, he claimed that “Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators” had got their names registered in the first draft, alleging that their organisation forced the government to revise the list after shutting down Assam for several days. He claimed that they built the Ram temple by crushing “Babur’s mentality” and alleged that “jihadis” had threatened to rebuild the mosque in place of the Ram Mandir and pelt stones at Hindus. He peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and religious conversion. He claimed that Mecca was the Makkeshwar Mahadev temple, which he asserted was the first temple in the world to be demolished. He fearmongered over the Muslim and Christian populations and claimed that lakhs of maulavis and missionaries were working to increase their populations to control the country. He termed mosques and madrasas “terrorism factories”. He demanded a population control law targeting Muslims, alleging that they have many children, and proposed the denial of state benefits and life imprisonment. He demanded a “jihadi-mukt” and “Islam-mukt” Bharat.
