Authorities demolished a mazar (shrine) under construction, alleging it was an illegal encroachment on Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) land. Officials carried out the demolition under heavy police deployment following objections raised by members of the Bajrang Dal and Hindu Raksha Dal over the construction.
