A Hindu man was harassed by members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal after accompanying a Muslim friend to court in a purported “love jihad” case. The Bajrang Dal members repeatedly accused him of helping his Muslim friend carry out “love jihad,” despite his insistence that he had only gone to court to support his friend and had not stood surety for him. They confronted and intimidated him outside his home, after which he filed an FIR against a VHP-Bajrang Dal worker and another individual, alleging harassment and intimidation.
