At the Lokmanya Tilak Jayanti celebration, BJP leader Sunil Deodhar fearmongered about demographic change, claimed Muslims were driving Hindus out of their neighbourhoods, urged Hindus to arm themselves and prepare for violence, spread the conspiracy of “love jihad,” alleged that Muslim men systematically targeted Hindu women, and claimed a “Muslim mafia” was using drugs and population growth to weaken Hindus and take over the country.
