BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya, speaking at a public event, delivered a dangerous speech in which he peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad” and urged people to “cut into two pieces” anyone they saw allegedly involved in such acts, while promising to take responsibility if they acted on his call. He referred to the CJP (Cockroach Janata Party) and accused them of misleading children and facilitating the entry of “Bangladeshis and Rohingyas” to create disorder, cause harm and incite communal violence. He criticised what he termed “appeasement politics”, claiming that people wearing a “topi” were given benefits while those wearing “tilaks or saffron clothes” were not, and declared that there was no place for such politics under “Ram Rajya”. He further accused Muslims of occupying land, constructing minarets, installing loudspeakers and starting shouting, and alleged that such people lure Hindu women away, attempt to kill them and throw them into rivers. He warned that people who opposed India’s religion and culture would be driven out of the country, describing them as having a “demonic nature”. He further accused the previous Government of settling “Bangladeshis and Rohingyas” in residential areas, alleging that they were involved in drug use and disorder, which he claimed they had stopped, and that another community was settled in their place.
