Following the controversy over Anand Niketan School and its reading material, citizens organised a silent public reading of books by Malala Yousafzai and Anne Frank. Bajrang Dal workers led by Hiren Rabari allegedly threatened and intimidated the participants before physically assaulting members of the reading group. The participants alleged that police refused to register an FIR.
