During a Bhavya Hindu Sammelan organised by Hindu Rashtra Sena, its president Dhananjay Desai praised Israel while promoting V.D. Savarkar’s concepts of “Pitribhumi” (fatherland) and “Punyabhumi” (holy land). Referring to Indian Muslims as descendants of Arabs and Turks, he claimed that they were attempting to Islamise India and that this had already resulted in India losing parts of its territory.
