A crowd welcomed Amit Baddi and Ganesh Mishkin, accused in the murders of Gauri Lankesh and MM Kalburgi, by garlanding them and draping them in saffron shawls amid chants of “Jai Shree Ram.” Posters calling them “Hindu tigers returning to establish Hindu Rashtra” were also put up in the town.
