Authorities in BJP-ruled Uttarakhand confiscated the house of a Muslim man named Abdul Malik and even took away his doors over allegations that he masterminded violence in Haldwani. Importantly, the protests in Haldwani that erupted on February 8 over the demolition of a mosque and Madrasa led to the killing of 6 Muslims in police firing.
