At a weekly Hanuman Chalisa gathering, Bajrang Dal leader Vikas Verma claimed that there was a surge in illegal mosques and madrasas, boasting about the administration sealing several madrasas. He alleged that Hindu festivals were constantly under attack and that cows were being slaughtered. He also questioned the existence of mazars and maqbaras of Mughal rulers, along with roads and institutions named after them, branding them as barbaric invaders.
